Note from Platypus
Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer took to the Senate floor in one of the most smarmy and gross displays of politics I’ve ever seen. We platypus are generally even-tempered and more thoughtful. So I asked that primitive primate Top Monkey to come down from Indignation’s Monkey Bars for a moment and give us his take on it. He’s much less reserved than I am. Though I must admit my take isn’t much different from his. Schumer crossed a line as far as I’m concerned. To me this is an abuse. As a side note, trust me, you don’t want to hear what Sister Sweet was saying! At least Monkey can control his cursing to a degree, that nun just lets it fly!
Note from Top Monkey
I don’t think it’s appropriate for Mr. Schumer to say he knows what the dead want. It’s not appropriate for him to guess what the victims want. It’s not right for him to decide ahead of time, from his mouth, what the families want. It’s not right for him to call Trump out on being a big man as if this is a school yard game of double dog dare you! He thinks it’s appropriate in the wake of a tragedy to compare bananas with Mr. Trump and to act as if he could speak for the dead and the living alike.
Then there is the blatant hypocrisy of it all. He dares Trump to stand up to the NRA while he and Pelosi cower to Planned Parenthood. The NRA supports a part of our Constitution. Planned Parenthood, well, you know what they support doing.
